It’s 8am in the morning I’m almost late for my interview at a Café down the street, this will be my big break, I’ve gone through all the possible interview questions that they might ask, I’m still nervous but very positive. I planned to save all my salary for a vacation for 2 at the Maldives, I can almost feel the fresh breeze on my cheeks and Mandla’s big manly arms around me as we sip on some good cocktails. Let me not gaze too much I’m already late. I take my purse and leave.

Sitting in the que waiting for my name to be called, there he was starring back at me Sisonke Mbhele my high school sweetheart, every girl’s dream. He was the café owner, yes! O-w-n-e-r, he smiled and came to me, Melinda! It’s been ages, I smiled and stood up for a hug, it’s a small world, I said, you live around here?, No I just come once in awhile to check my place, wow! What a huge achievement Sisonke, Thanks Mel we must go for lunch once in awhile, ssureee can I have your number I said with a smile, I hope I don’t look desperate. He gave me his number and we went on numerous dates he even bought an apartment and moved back here because our connection was getting stronger and mines and Mandla’s was fading and becoming weaker by the day, I mean Sisonke buys me flowers, gifts takes me to getaways, he spoils me, I get everything I ever wanted and I honestly didn’t even need that café job anymore Sisonke was providing me with everything. It was time for me to break the news to Mandla, I just called him and told him my heart was beating fast, but I had to tell the poor guy. He took it easy and said it’s fine as long as I’m happy and that was it, the end of me and Mandla, my 7 years relationship down the drain. All of that didn’t matter because I loved Sisonke with all my heart but little did I know. Sisonke had a wife! Her name was Busisiwe, I was introduced to her by Sisonke himself, he said he’ll take me as his second wife, I refused but I also loved being pampered and loved by Sisonke so I agreed, but the look on Busisiwe’s face had my heart racing I feared her so much, she was much older then me and that left me questioning Sisonke, why did he marry a sugar mama, I found it quite weird and unpleasant. Years and years went by I felt trapped in a box I saw how much Sisonke loved he’s wife and they had 2 daughters , I mean I loved the money but I felt unloved, I wanted him all to myself and his wife was giving me a hard time so I just felt as if I ruined someone’s happily ever after, so one morning I packed my bags and left a note on Sisonke’s dressing table and left. I have saved some money for me to start a new life, I have figured out everything i would do from now onwards. I’m happy to say I stepped out of that house a new and strong women. The end!
