You don’t have to act strong and mighty. You don’t always have to be the hero who saves the day. It’s okay to run away if you already feel suffocated in your world. It’s okay, no one’s gonna get back at you just because you chose to be vulnerable today.

You don’t have to take all the heaviness you took from someone you just saved, you can put that baggage down and walk away.

Just for now, choose the battle that’s gentle for yourself. It’s okay to scream and feel scared. It’s okay to feel inferior while you hold your knees up to your chest and cry on your bed.

No one’s gonna pull you back from a situation that you wanted to escape. But if they do, it’s okay to run away, not because you’re a coward but because you know it’s too much for you to carry.

You can always get back once you feel your strength rushing back to your soul. It’s okay to rest and hide in places where no one can find you. You don’t always have to feel responsible for what happens in your world. You’re only human, you will always have days when you feel weak and vulnerable.

And it’s okay.
