My parents died when I was 2 years in a accident ,leaving behind me and my grandmother. By the time I turned 18 I was already unofficially engaged to Brett. I’ve never seen Brett before all I knew was that he was the son of a business tycoon called Zayn. When I turned 21, an engagement party was held at my house. I never wanted to get married , especially to someone I’ve never met. So instead of getting engaged I RAN AWAY.
All it took was packing a few of my things , place them in my bathroom and when everyone was busy I would jump out of the window. I did and I scraped my knee but I limped as I ran , never looking back literally. I was running while checking out my knee when I bumped into someone which caused me to fall down. When I looked up I was met with a really handsome guy. He seemed Asian, taller than me ,black hair and a place skin. He just smiled as he helped me up. He quickly apologized ,I accepted his apology and when I tried to leave he stopped me.
“Are you in a hurry? I am Cole ?” He said extending his hand toward me. I just looked at him feeling confused. Is he hitting on me.?
“Cindy! and yes I am in a hurry because I need to find a place to sleep as you can see” I said shaking his hand quickly and he laughed at my action.
“You seem to be running away from home just like me..” He said , “Plus you seem like you have no money on you ,so let’s run away together?” He continued.
It was getting late and I had no I dea where I was going. I was getting hungry by the minute. Did I have money on me ? No because I only packed my clothes and small jewellery I can sell but all the shops seemed to be closed. Desparate, I took his offer and went with him. When we got to a hotel I was already tired and sleepy!
“Hey can we get 2 different rooms..?”
“Unfortunately Sir we only have a room with two single beds everything else is booked..”
” Cindy is that okay?” He asked and I just nodded
“We’ll take that one please!”
When we got inside the room ,I threw myself to the bed and instantly slept. Next day I woke up and went to shower. I was coming out of the shower ,took a towel and wrapped it around my body. When I was about to leave the bathroom ,the door opened and I saw a figure infront of me..it was Cole Naked.
I gasped as he screamed.
“cover your eyes..” He screamed
“no my towel will fall off..” I said back
“Close them..then” He said and I quickly did.
Seconds later I heard the door being closed. I opened my eyes. I can’t believe what just happened , I just saw him naked I couldn’t help but chuckle. I got dressed , took money from his bag and went shopping. When I came back , he was standing in the room like he was waiting for me to come back. When I saw him what happened earlier came flashing back. I dropped the bags and he came to help me. As he helped me ,he apologized.
” Look Cindy I am sorry about earlier,I didn’t know you were in there ..” He said handing me the last bag.
“I get it, it was an honest mistake, you know what ? Let’s forget about it yeah? ” I said hoping he would agree..
“yeah and the bags..?” He asked
” Owuh I hope you don’t mind I took money from your bag and bought us clothes”
“Clothesfor what? “
“The party tonight , downstairs” I said smiling
“What party? And are you crazy , we’re still on the run remember?” He said concerned
“yeah i know but in life you gotta let free and enjoy life to the fullest..so come with , I’ll be changing in the bathroom get dressed” I said giving him a bag with his clothes.
After a few minutes I came out wearing naivy blue short dress and heels. When I came out he kept looking at me like I was his girlfriend and we were going on a date. After a while we went downstairs and started dancing. The night was still young ,we were having fun dancing and laughing. We were having a drink when he asked for a big favour.
“What? You want me to pretend to be your girlfriend? No !” I said not agreeing..
“Come on ,I mean my ex Mandy is here and I don’t want her to think I was a doofies who couldn’t move on..” He begged..and I eventually agreed ,he sure has a way of getting to me. His ex-girlfriend came and greeted us , strange thing was she seemed like she was not sure or something. She invited us to come and play games with her. We agreed ,everything was going smooth till we were dared to kiss each other.
” what ? We just kissed and it was long one..so no !” I said coming up with an excuse.
” yeah we did earlier and it was a long one .!” He backed me up..
“We don’t care ,just do it..” Mandy said
“wait-” I SAID.
“lets just do it…part of enjoying life right” He asked looking at me..
At that moment he placed his hand on my cheek, smiled as he looked at me. He slowly leaned in and before he could kiss me ,he looked at me like he was searching for something ,consent and when I gave him one by smiling and nodding. He kissed me ,on the lips …my breath shortened. I became hot and my heart was beating fast like a drum. He pulled out and looked at me and went back to the game. At that moment, I became greedy I wanted more of him..like him kissing me. It can’t just end here. I stood up and left them playing , when I looked back he was following me. I went to our room, after a few minutes he came in. I backed him in a corner. Looked at him , his lips. He seemed to understand what I wanted.
“was that your first kiss?” He asked smiling..
“yeah ,you?” I asked shyly
“yess first one I got from you..!” He said
“well get ready for a second one..”
I don’t know where I got the guts but I yanked him and kissed him ,we were all over each other.
“I know this is unusual for a guy to say but.. aren’t we moving too fast..?” He asked pulling out from the kiss..
“i literally saw you naked this morning so I feel like I know you..” I said yanking him back into a kiss. Next morning when I woke up, Cole was not besides me. And our clothes were packed ,I looked for him and found him in the bathroom. He was there sitting next to drops of blood. I quickly went to him and he wasn’t breathing.
“Cole ,cole cole..wake up please,you can’t do this to me..! Please wake up. Omg noo! Phone, phone.!” i said looking for a phone so I can asked for help. I was searching for when I heard my name being called. I suddenly woke up.
“baby ,just a dream..yeah it’s a dream?” Cole said comforting me..
” promise you’ll never leave me..? You’re the closest thing I have to – you know whatever we have !” I said crying.
” I promis- ” He suddenly went quiet looked at the door..
“they’re here, they found me…Cindy get dressed now..we have to leave!!” He said getting off bed and hurrying around the room as I tried to find my clothes..I just opened his bag took out a big shiny shirt and wore it . His sneakers , when he came out of the other..room looked me. Till he realised he was wasting time. We escaped through a fire escape. When we reached the subway ,everyone was looking..I didn’t blame them I would to . If a girl would come to a place full of people wearing a big shirt , which is practically every men’s fantasy. We were standing there and he was busy making a serious call ,when he was done he came to me. I questioned him about those people because they seemed dangerous. He explained everything. How he was not Cole but Ryan Fickele ,how his brother Brett was suppose to get married to a girl called Zen but he ran away so he cane get married to Cherry his beloved but he didn’t come back on time, now his dad Zayn is looking for him.
” wait ? So you lied and the guy I was suppose to marry was your brother? ” I exclaimed
“Does that mean you’re that Zen girl..so you also lied ..” He said pointing at me..
” Omg I can’t believe this..you lied about everything..so everything’s been a lie..?” I said.
” yeah everything else..but not about what happened between us , what happened between us was real and you felt it . Iloveyou Cindy, I mean Zen and I fell for you the day we met..so please look past my mistake yeah…” He said softly while back hugging me and my heart just melted away.
“iloveyou too but never lie to me..what now ? ” i said..
“how are about death?” A voice said from behind us and his body just tensed up against mine. Death what does he mean death? I am not ready to die. He slowly turned around,I couldn’t turn around,I didn’t wanna face a gun. I would rather he shoots me from behind. I was expecting a gun shot anytime soon but all I heard was laughter and excitement. When I turned around a guy looking almost like Cole. His brother ? Brett? He’s a twin?
“Wait , so you’re a twin?” I asked
” Identical twins just that I live with my mom and he lives with dad ,so that’s why it was easy to pretend to be him. Where’s Cherry?” He asked looking at his twin Brett..
“Back at your hotel room..we found the guys after you, before they could get to you so…I left her there” He said…”who is she?” Brett whispered but I heard him..
“Zenny !! ” He said taking my hand..
” Zenny ? Ahhhh bumblebee? ” He said laughing..
“Nice to meet you bumblebee” He said ..shaking my hand..
” why am i bumblebee ,?” I asked Ryan looking at him..and he just smiled .
“tellyou another time ” Said as he winked at me and smiled at his brother.
We went back to the hotel room, we found Cherry there she was so nice . After that day we parted ways and Cherry found a way to make us passports and visas. We parted way but Rayn and Brett promised to meet each other again. They were both not ready to face their father. We were on a plane to our another adventure or something when Ryan /Cole told me something before he dozed off.
“Mandy was not my ex-girlfriend,she was Brett’s ex-girlfriend and I was afraid of getting caught so I pretended I was Brett but she soon found out..and I begged her to keep my identity a secret!”
My jaw dropped..
