There is a loud noise at the door then Dumi stumbles in drunk, and singing loudly. Lebo comes running in and finds her husband tripping over a chair, and his feet.

LEBO: (Switching on the light.) Ssshhh Dumi! What is your deal? (Tries to help him walk.)

DUMI: (slurring) You know baby, all my varsity friends have families now?

LEBO: Come on! You are drunk. Let’s get you into bed. Its 2 am and you need sleep.

DUMI: (Grabbing her arm and pulling her close to him.) No. I don’t want to sleep. I have a better idea. Let’s make a baby…

He pulls her into his arms and holds her close and attempts to kiss her but she pulls away.

LEBO: No Dumi! I am not in the mood, and besides you are drunk. Come. Let’s go to bed.

She walks away and Dumi follows her. His expression has changed. He is angry and now he lunges after her. He pulls her hard and turns her around so she is facing him.

DUMI: No stay … I want to make a baby!

He rips her pajama top off and Lebo, panicky now, tries fights him off. Dumi becomes more forceful and drags her down onto the floor behind the couch. We hear her sobbing protests as Dumi rapes his wife. He then staggers up, and to the bedroom. Lebo gets up from behind the couch once he is gone. She shakily takes up her torn pajamas, sobbing uncontrollably. She slowly makes her way to the bedroom.
