Johnny is in a tuxedo and holding a large bouquet of flowers, attempting to climb out the window. His parents enter the room and switch on the lights.

Martha: Johnny Williams, what on earth are you doing?

Johnny: I’m sorry, Mom. I didn’t want you to find out this way. But…I’m in love.

Gerald: What?

Johnny: Yes, Linda and I are in love. We’re getting married. Please don’t try to stop us.

Martha: You’re too young—

Johnny: To be in love? To be this madly in love? No, Mom. Age is just a number. Love has no limits.

Gerald: Son, please, have you thought this through? How long have you known the girl?

Johnny: A while.

Martha: Didn’t they just move in?

Johnny: Does it matter? I’m sure she feels the same way about me as I do about her.

Gerald: You mean you don’t know?

Johnny: Well, we haven’t really spoken much before…

Martha: Johnny!

Johnny: It’s meant to be. I’ve known since I laid eyes on her yesterday.

Gerald: Boy, you come inside right now.

Martha: Yes, you’ll break your neck.

Johnny: Love fears nothing. Not age, not rejection, not even heights!

Gerald: It should fear gravity. If you do this, Johnny, we aren’t bailing you out when—

Johnny: My undying love will cushion the fall. Goodbye.

He jumps out the window and there’s a crash. His parents exclaim in fright.

Johnny: Owwwww.

Tell us: Have you ever done something reckless in the name of love? What happened?
