“You have to stay in my room until I can figure out what to do,” Cash said, as he was getting ready for school.

“But what if someone is in trouble and I have to save them?” Cap K asked, finishing off the porridge Cash had sneaked into the room for him.

“Then block your ears and pretend you can’t hear,” Cash said, straightening his tie.

““But what do I do all day?”

“At twelve o’clock, Magz is going shopping. My dad will be at work and Thula will be at school. You can sneak into the kitchen and grab some food,” Cash said, handing Cap K his cellphone. “You can play games on my phone until I come back. And remember: don’t leave.”

Cap K watched from the bedroom window as Cash walked to school. He felt strange. His instinct to save the world was much too strong. Cap K knew he couldn’t sit around doing nothing while there were crimes being committed.

Cap K waited until Magz left and the house was empty and then went out himself, not to eat, but to save the world. The first thing he noticed was a big sign down the road saying ‘Roy’s Tavern’.

Cap K smiled. He had just found his first mission.

The moment Cap K stepped into the tavern, he was bombarded with looks of suspicion and disdain. The mid-day drinkers stared at this twenty-two-year-old, who was giving them all disapproving looks. Cap K walked up to the rowdiest of the men, who just so happened to be Big Vic.

““I don’t mean to intrude, sir, but you shouldn’t drink,” Cap K said kindly. “Alcohol is injurious to your health. Do you have children?”

“Askies?” Big Vic said, showing a full set of gold teeth.

“Don’t you want to see them grow?” Cap K asked.

Big Vic was getting angry.

Is iets fout hier (Is something wrong here?)?” Roy asked, stepping in.

“Ja,” Big Vic said, getting up from his chair. “But I know just how to solve it.”
