Buntu excavated a cursed object buried at the doorstep of Lulu’s store. He followed a thread that pinpointed the spot where it was buried. He realised that the curse was like the one on the Senufo bird. ‘What could this mean?’ He wondered but his conclusions only seemed to convince him that whatever he wanted to find out was not something he would like to see.

‘Well, what is it?’ she enquired while keeping a safe distance between her and the object.

‘It’s a human finger.’

‘A human finger!
‘Yes. It probably belongs to a young girl not older than eight years.’

‘How do you know all of that? Oh my God! What if the police found this on my doorstep?’ Lulu’s brief panic was composed and not typical for an ordinary person. Her panic was dashed with a bit of bravery in it.

‘I do not know for sure, but I know that they target young girls especially if they are still virgins. They make up a strong curse object…’

Buntu was interrupted by a beep notification on his cell phone. He paged it and found a message that read: “I am at Helen Joseph Hospital. I blacked out when I went out for a walk. I think I will be here for a few days because the nurses want to run blood tests before I am discharged.” His money problems were deepening.
