I know that not every woman will share my shoe fetish, but I think that there are probably quite a few who do. So, if I could, I’d have at least one of each of these types safely stashed in my wardrobe!

Boots – Whether you prefer knee-high or over-the-knee, boots are an essential must-have because there is a boot for every season. It’s no longer a winter shoe, these days you can wear knee-high boots in summer and still look cool. Boots come in all sorts of colours and shapes, whether you prefer leather, suede, denim, there is a boot for everyone. Try them out!

Peep-toe pumps – I used to think that peep-toe shoes wasn’t my thing because I have short toes, but that was until I found the perfect pair and now I think I have more peep-toe heels than anything else in my closet hahahah. So don’t hate them until you try them. They can make that Little Black Dress (LBD) look sexy and fabulous any day.

Wooden platform sandals – These are my favourite shoes and not because they last a really long time (which they do) but also they are amazingly comfortable. A pair I bought at Truworths three years ago is still going strong. They look fantastic and are in mint condition. Wooden sandals are super great for a casual outfit and sometimes can even be dressed up. Pair them with nice denim jeans and a white dress shirt for a casual lunch date. Wooden platform sandals came in different colours and shapes. I know Truworths likes to stock them, but you can purchase them in most clothing stores. #Lovethese

Ballet Flats – These can complement any outfit and they’re super convenient to have in your bag when you know you have to wear heels all day. Flats are comfortable and can be worn with stockings, leggings, and almost anything else you own. They’re great casual wear and come in all sorts of colours, shapes and sizes.

Canvas Sneakers – These are not only comfortable and stylish, but make a great fashion statement too. They can come as long boots or ankle books, and they can be worn with anything casual – from pants to skirts and even dresses. Turn your ordinary casual outfit into some fashionable and cool – don a pair of canvas sneakers! Most people tend to lean towards the famous classic Converse Chuck Taylors, but whichever you choose they are a timeless staple in your wardrobe.

Flats/ Sandals – Sandals can be the perfect finish to any look especially casual outfits if you don’t want to wear pumps. Summer time is when most people start wearing them as they are open and easy to put on or carry in my bag as a backup plan. They also come in different colours and even texture like leather, suede, plastic and so on.

Workout sneakers or trainers – It’s great to be active and to have the right, comfy footwear that makes you want to get out on the road, or up the mountain, or onto the beach, or into the gym, or wherever… so long as your heart is pumping and you’re feeling great. Not everyone can afford to buy new trainers each season, so invest in a good pair that will last.

Gorgeous one-of-a-kind shoe – This is the type of shoe that makes one stand out, that makes you feel gorgeous each time you slip them on your feet. They can be heels, flats or sandals. They can be flash and just out the box, or vintage and quirky. Whatever you choose, make sure you feel truly YOU. I have African beaded sandals that I love so much. They are colourful and stylish. I can wear them with simply anything… and they give me that little bit of VaVaVoom!
