Dear diary

David and I are going bowling later today. Do you remember he said he would hang out with me until I was comfortable and made my own friends? I have friends now diary, but he is still here. I am not complaining. I love being with him. Yes, love! It’s you diary so there’s no need to be secretive.

Dear diary it’s 10 p.m and I just came back from my bowling date with David. It was great, I won. He says he let me win though, ; believe him, lol.

After bowling we went to Pick’n’Pay liquor to get some wine then we went to Chicken Licken to get hot  wings. We were going to chill at his place. It wasn’t a res but a commune so there were no visiting hours.

When we got to Chicken Licken, guess who was there? Scelo and his girlfriend. They were staring at each so much that they didn’t see us. My eyes widened with disbelief when I saw what his girlfriend was wearing.

My matric dance dress at Chicken Licken?

David followed my gaze and saw what I was shocked about. He quickly grabbed me by my waist as I was about to go there guns blazing. My dress diary, I couldn’t mistake it for anything. It was tailor-made for me by Baba. No way, Scelo went too far.

Did I tell you how David’s voice calms me down diary? It’s crazy. He said I should go speak to the senior caretaker tomorrow. So our night continued.

We chatted, and drank wine as we ate our hot wings in his room. He turned his speaker on, connected his  phone and played Maskhandi (Zulu music indigenous to KZN). You did not see me diary. Ha ha ha. I showed him that I was an original Zulu girl. We danced together. It was fun.

I am now on my bed. Tipsy and tired but very much content. Goodnight diary.

Yours Truly
