As soon as Zenande opens the bag, she is greeted by stacks of R200 notes, and jewellery of all sorts. “How much is this?” she asks, sitting back.

“Five million hard cash, and that jewellery you see is worth over R4.7 million,” Bulose responds, beaming with pride. “I just have to find a buyer,” he adds.

Before responding, Zenande nods. “Bulose, you have to stop now. I don’t want to lose you. I don’t want to always wonder where you are,” she says.

“I just have to do one last job baby, after this one, I’ll open my own business and we can focus on us and our little one,” Bulose promises.

“Bulose please. You’ve made enough. Our bank account is filled with millions. Our off shore accounts are overflowing with billions of Rands, we own a string of restaurants, and I’m a physician. Please, we have enough,” Zenande says.

“After this one, I’m out,” Bulose says, holding Zinande’s hand and kissing it slowly. “You can’t just leave this type of business, baby. I have to do one last job, leave a mark then settle down. I’m going to be a father soon, and I can’t be someone’s father with the job I’m doing.”

Instead of responding, Zenande runs out of words, and Bulose kisses her. They give each other pleasure that night, and Bulose opens himself up to her in a way he had never done before. She enjoyed it, and she enjoys him. While they are busy, Zenande suddenly feels like she is saying goodbye. She misses Bulose, even though he is right there with her. But she shakes off the feeling and let’s herself focus on the moment.

“I love you, honey,” Bulose says.

“I know you do,” Zenande responds, smiling. “And I love you more,” she continues, kissing him.
