I was in my bedroom, taking the crutches to go to the living room and one of my crutches slipped my hand. I heard a familiar voice say, “I could pick that up for you, if you promise to call the ambulance the minute I fail to stand up again.”

It was Pearl. She was heavily pregnant and so different, it was just strange!

“I’m sorry, I just couldn’t stay away,” she said with tears in her eyes.

I quickly picked up the crutches and went to her. She was so big; her sexy figure was gone and only this big elephant stood on our doorway.

“You shouldn’t have gone away for that long in the first place.”

I grabbed her and gave her the longest kiss to last her a lifetime. I couldn’t help it. Although she was so heavily pregnant, it was just so hard to contain myself whenever we were in bed. I took a few days off from work after her return and I enjoyed spending time with my family like never before.

She had labour pains a week after she came back. I guess she knew she was due anytime and just couldn’t do it without me. Little Mishark was born on the 24th of December at 2 o’clock in the morning. He had green eyes but he looked every bit like Sizwe that one would swear they were twins, except Sizwe was older now.

My mother cried like a baby when I told her what we have decided to name him. After hearing about Mantoa’s release I started on the divorce process so I could be able to give my lovely woman and our son my surname.

With Martin’s help the divorce process didn’t take long and I was able to take Pearl as my own. We got a call from Aunt Matlakala to deliver the bad news of Solly’s passing after he was caught stealing a Plasma TV and shot!

It was such a touching ceremony, if you call Aunt Matlakala’s howling touching. Everyone at the funeral was smilling and jolly as if they went to a wedding. Poor Solly, if everyone acted that way on my funeral I swear I’d kill them all.

When Mishark was four months and Sizwe a year old, I decided to take Pearl on her offer of going to start a new life outside South Africa. As we juggled with everything there was a knock on our door which left us speechless.

Mantoa was on our doorway, dirty as hell. She claimed she was in the neighbourhood and just wanted to say hi to her children. My guess was she was hungry as hell by the look in her eyes when Pizza was delivered. I was very right!

We let her in, being the good people we were, and she ate all the pizza in five seconds, to Fentse’s annoyance. She had grown up to be a little miss who scolded everyone who ate before saying grace first.

After Mantoa left we were forced to spray the entire house and wait outside for the smell die down.
As for Nomsa, it turned out she got impregnated by some white guy who moved to Cape Town just after he realized she was pregnant. So much for knowing who her baby daddy was!

We moved to Botswana. It wasn’t that far from home and I started my own law firm there. Hey, life hasn’t been easy for me! My love for ladies nearly got me in some deep shit, but I’m very glad that one of those ladies is the one I’m married to today.

I have faced a lot of challenges, lost my job, my house stayed in that hell hole of a shack and thought of taking my life a few times too. But I bounced back!

With the kind of lifestyle I live now! The stinky rich wife! The most adorable kids and of course my dotting mother, not to mention my booming career, you just have to admit I’m still untouchable.

The End
