We arrived at the spot. Elizabeth took off her rucksack and she saw this amazing view of the forest that was covered by the mist that had nicely highlighted the mountain behind the forest. We stood there in that hill, and we were just above the other tents on that hill so our view had no distractions whatsoever.

The fog was laying on top of the forest – it’s like the fog has flattened the forest and was showing us the view of the mountain, it was so amazing. We quickly set up our tent as it was getting darker, heavy clouds were all over this area as if it was going to rain.

After we finished setting up making our tent, I started making fire and I took out the pot and kettle. I filled both up with water, and I put them on fire to boil. While the water was boiling I took out the mugs, coffee and the sugar. It was cold so I wanted to make the coffee really hot for Elizabeth.

“And there you go,” I passed the hot mug of coffee to her.

Elizabeth was about to prepare supper for us, and I noticed that she was flinching as the cold wind kept on blowing stronger.

“Baby, why don’t you go get the blanket. I see that you getting cold, and you also shivering.”

She looked at me with a smile and asked, “Why don’t you go get it for me baby. We had a long drive and walked up to this place, now I’m tired,” she laid her head on my shoulder.

I sipped my coffee, and we were both staring at the fire.

Elizabeth got back to cutting the vegetables since she was busy preparing supper. She enjoyed the fact that she was cooking outside and her husband was next to her.

I saw that she was still shivering and it was getting dark, and the wind was getting stronger.

She looked at me and said, “Look baby I’m going to make your favourite beef stew, but my back is getting cold, please get us the blanket.”

Elizabeth always had her own ways of persuading me and the idea of beef stew had my attention, so I would be insane to refuse. I got up to fetch the blanket for us. I got back and finished up my coffee.

She was waiting for me to bring the blanket as she was preparing my favourite beef stew she promised.

“Yummy! Something is smelling nice here,” I opened the pot lid to check it, but it was dark I couldn’t see what’s in there. I flew back to the tent to get the torch, and I lit the gas lamp inside the tent. The time was around 18h49. It was already dark, and the other tents light were highlighting the camping hills so beautifully, all the places of making fire were built in the very nice pattern and you couldn’t see that during the day, you only notice it at night.
