A week later, I decided to move on with my life. To be frank, I still loved Barcee with everything that I had but the fact that she was sleeping with another man couldn’t vanish inside my brain. So I decided to give myself credit, to get myself a girlfriend too around campus, so the lord blessed me with Anosca but I never caught her surname. She was a fine lady, a tall, but not too tall and she had a radiant smile. Her characteristics were not different from Barcee’s characteristics, actually they looked alike. Anosca was doing her third year and she was a bookworm.

I dated her for the wrong reasons, that she resembles Barcee. One day her parents invited me for a dinner, they wanted to know me better and I had an unpleasant feeling about the arrangement, something did not feel right. A night before the arrangement, Barcee was swimming in my dreams but I thought it was just a dream and I will get over it. The following day, I caught the first bus and headed straight to Tlokweng.

When I got there, her parents were so ecstatic to meet me, I could tell by the look of things that the family was incomplete, Anosca said that we must wait for her sister to arrive before we can indulge into the food. She did mention her sister by the name of Caster a couple of times but she never rang a bell into my head. As we were busy sharing our deepest details of our lives, there was a knock on the door.

Anosca said that it must be her, she stood up and attended the door, I heard them giggling in the kitchen. A few seconds later, they came into the sitting room where we were sitting and ready to have our meals. I was shocked and speechless to see the love of my life again on earth. I couldn’t believe my eyes, Basetsana and Anosca were siblings, words couldn’t come out and tears rolled down my cheeks, so did she. Everyone kept asking, questioning our silence. Barcee ran to her room and cried herself to sleep. On the other hand I excused myself from the house I took the first bus to Rustenburg.

Tell us: Do you think Basetsana cried because she really loved him or was regretful that he took her sister?
