“How could you? With a man?” Melissa screamed.

“Melissa, I can explain,” Khulani said.

“My father took you to school, and this is how you repay him?” Melissa shouted.

“I will be eternally thankful to him for it,” Khulani said.

“Argh, spare me all of this. Yes, we are dating. It has been over three months now,” Nkanyezi intervened.

“Is this true?” Melissa asked, turning to look at Khulani.

“Please! Even a fool can see what has been getting down in here,” Nkanyezi responded.

“Can you shut up? This is all your fault. You made Khulani gay,” Melissa shouted.

“Excuse me?” Nkanyezi asked, taken aback.

“Both of you, shut up!” Khulani shouted. “Listen Nkanyezi, the past few months with you were the best. You showed me love, care and respect,” he said, smiling at Nkanyezi. “Melissa, with you, it is business and business and business,” he then said, rolling his eyes at Melissa. “I love that you plan ahead, and that you have a good head on your shoulders, but both of you showed me different kinds of love. Nkanyezi, your love is true and real. Melissa, our kind of love is different, if we lived in a farm full of farmhands and farm girls, it would be fulfilling.”

“What do you mean?” Melissa asked.

“It is over, Melissa,” Khulani responded.

“What? You’ll regret this! Every single woman you meet will never be like me,” Melissa screamed.

“That is the thing, I don’t want a woman, I want a man. This man,” Khulani said, holding Nkanyezi’s hand and kissing his lips.

“Nonsense!” Melissa shouted, grabbing a pair of scissors and stabbing Nkanyezi with it.

Khulani tried restraining Mellisa, but when he regained control of her, Nkanyezi was already not moving. “You killed him!” he cried, holding Nkanyezi’s lifeless body and rocking back and forth.

“I did not mean to,” Melissa cried, kneeling down.

“I hate you!” Khulani shouted.
