Two months after Vusi had renovated the house with the money he made from his chicken farm, and the one he took from his older son Khethelo, Jabulani decided to take away everything Vusi had. He could not bear Vusi being praised and respected much more than him. Jabulani decided to first use his own daughter to take away Vusi’s respect.

Jabulani did not care about anyone. His daughter and wives were just a burden to him as they never gave him a male child and Nonhlanhla was still not married at twenty five. Jabulani forced her daughter to sleep with Vusi’s younger son Sanele. Then Jabulani asked Vusi to make do ceremony, thanking the ancestors for everything they have done for them.

The day of the ceremony came. Jabulani took care of all the arrangements, with the help of his wives and Vusi’s wives. Khethelo arrived an hour before the ceremony was set to begin. Jabulani, Vusi and Khethelo served the male guests with meat and traditional beer. Jabulani and Vusi served all the elders, while Khethelo served all his peers.

A while later Jabulani gave Sanele the traditional beer to drink with his friends. Sanele was so excited that he drank till he passed out with all his friends. Jabulani took him to Nonhlanhla’s room and locked the room.

Many of the guests had left but there was still a lot of noise made by all the people who were drinking. Sanele wok up, but he was still too drunk. Nonhlanhla had kept watch on him just as her father instructed her. Nonhlanhla called her father. Jabulani opened the door and forced his daughter to sleep with his nephew. Nonhlanhla was helpless; she did as she was instructed.

A moment later everybody heard a big voice shouting. Immediately everybody went to check what was happening. They found Jabulani standing at the door of her daughter’s room, with both Nonhlanhla and Sanele naked. Nonhlanhla was the one who looked as a victim. Vusi was shamed. Everybody lost respect for Vusi. Vusi was very furious and angry. He decided to kick Sanele out of the house and disown him.

Vusi and Jabulani’s mother died after a heart attack. Jabulani took Vusi’s chicken farm as payment for all the damages Sanele did to Nonhlanhla.

The day of MaShibe burial, Jabulani decided to kill both Vusi’s wives to gain maximum control of Vusi’s older son’s life. Jabulani poured poison in their food but accidentally one of the plates of food was given to Jabulani’s father. Jabulani did not try to stop his father from eating poisoned food. He watched his father eat his last meal that would soon kill him slowly. Jabulani did not want to fail, he forced Nonhlanhla to poison her aunt’s food.

The day after the funeral, in the morning, Vusi woke up with a dead body on his bed. He screamed loudly that he even invited the neighbours who lived ten meters away from their house. Everyone who was still alive in the house rushed to check what was happening. They saw poor MaMkhize lying down on the bed dead, with her husband flooding with tears. Everybody was shocked, a tragic death after a burial. But little did they know that this was not all.

A while later they noticed that two people were missing. Jabulani went to his father’s room to wake him up, as if he didn’t know that he was already dead. He also did the same as his brother, but he couldn’t cry. The family was tarnished with yet another shocking discovery. Khethelo went to check on his mother and he found MaKhawula lying helplessly on the floor dead. Khethelo fainted.
