“Tonight we’re not sleeping on the streets,” she said with excitement.
“Yaay,” I murmured.
“Why ain’t you happy?” she asked.
“The man said that the hotel costs R500 per person, and there are only single rooms.” I said.
“We will share,” she murmured with a low, seductive tone, while coming near me.
“Are you crazy?” I asked, “We are in trouble, you’re a princess!” I added.
People at the store looked at us.
“Shhh,” she commanded.
“No,” I said. She realised how serious I was and she started crying. “Don’t cry, let’s get out of here,” I said while hugging her. I knew that my actions were weak but I couldn’t watch a woman cry, that wasn’t how my grandmother raised me, she always told me that a woman’s emotional expressions were her tears.
We left the store and went straight to the hotel. I didn’t really like the idea of us sleeping in the same room.
“We’re here to book a room,” she told the receptionist.
“OK, give me your ID,” the receptionist commanded.
“Damn! I left it in the car,” she exclaimed.
“I have mine with me,” I said while opening my bag and giving my ID to the receptionist.
“Wait for 10 minutes,” the receptionist murmured. We sat down on the nearby chair.
“You’re 22 years old?” she whispered.
“Yes,” I murmured.
“I’m only five years older than you, not bad,” she said. I looked at her strangely, what she just said to me didn’t sit with me well.
“The rooms are self-catering so you can cook for yourselves or you can eat in the dining hall,” the receptionist told us when she returned. “You pay extra for that,” she added, handing me the room key.
We went to our room, I was tired and I slept as soon as I saw the bed and she went to take a bath. When I woke up she was cooking, wearing panties only.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“Cooking,” she responded.
“Half naked!” I exclaimed.
“It is hot, you know,” she murmured.
“Please put some clothes on,” I commanded. She was sexy, I’m a man and it wasn’t easy to ignore her.
“Why must I put them on?” She asked. “Are you getting horny?” she added while coming to bed.
“Stop playing, Nomzamo!” I shouted.
“OK, you know you want me,” she said, while going to the bathroom to put some clothes on.
Honestly speaking, I really wanted her, she was sexy, but all I could think about was what my girlfriend told me.
“What are you cooking?” I asked.
“I’m cooking rice and meat, bought them down-stairs.” she murmured.
“Smells nice,” I said.
“I know it smells nice, just like me,” she said with that seductive voice of hers. I couldn’t believe that I was gonna sleep in the same room with this naughty princess. I wondered if I was gonna be able to hold myself. My phone rang, it was Gogo.
“My son, you didn’t call me to tell me how you arrived yesterday,” she murmured.
“I’m sorry Gogo, my phone died and I was tired,” I responded.
“I’m so tired,” Nomzamo said.
“Who’s that?” Gogo asked.
“Some girls outside, Gogo,” I lied.
“OK, just keep working hard and make Gogo proud,” she said.
I dropped the phone with a heavy heart. Her words felt like a spear that just struck my heart.
