I’ve achieved it long before it came true.
My name is Sandile Radebe, born by MaRadebe, her names was uThokozile Angeline. And my father is Nyanda yemkhonto and his names is John Thembinkosi. My date of birth is 1988 December 11. I can’t remember my toys because I disassembled each one, then there were no more. I don’t know what I’m doing with poetry. I hope I didn’t kill words and that I continue not to. I think I won’t because I like to construct by building stories and making songs of my poems. Right here nothing gets torn apart.
This reminds me of Sir Albert Einstein’s quote…
I had a newspaper when I was still in high school that published most or all of his quotes. Often I’d ask myself, how come my younger cousin (who’s like an old brother to me) would get a publication called “Free for All” at his school. They received it every month. Yet we in the township didn’t. Perhaps I I found an issue that featured Albert Einstein’s quotes…
I kept these quotes. My favourite is the one about physics: “Do it right the first time.”
Boy, this quote rang in my mind like the 10 commandments. My uncle had a picture of the 10 Commandments – he still does – hanging on his wall ever since I was in high school. They taught us the 10 Commandments in Sunday school. I think that that’s when he got them.
My other uncle talks about getting his ID document. “Okay go. Actually leave…” but he just talks about anything after that. Like “I’m going to take a piss around the corner.” And oh! I ain’t touching tools he wants me to eat.
Nothing is straight forward. I never went anywhere. I’ve been where I am since high school. I sleep in what you may call an outside cabin. I hate sleeping in the house, I might go nuts, mad you may say. Yes. I tell them I go I little crazy when I sleep in the main house.
I don’t know when I will have my own house, nor what I’ll do about it. For now though, I’ll go and see a psychologist from being a resident in the house. I absolutely can’t say what I’ll do.
It’s kind of like going overseas. I’d have to adapt, but, dude, I’m and not going anywhere. So I’m not forced to adapt to anything. I can just say, “Er, drama series? Hm… No I’ll pass, I’ll listen to the radio instead. You know Ukhozi FM?”
Tell us: When do you plan to have your own house?
