“I last used it on a murder case of the owner of Matsile Milling company,” Detective Nospoh revealed.

“ Detective Mashangano and Detective Paulo and I were on the case. Deep into the investigation, we were attacked by unknown people and the files went missing together with my gun. The mission was then aborted. The case was closed,” he said and there was silence.

Inside the briefcase were pictures of Detective Mashangano and Detective Nospoh. There were also contracts that Mrs Khoviwa had signed with Sergeant Moliati and a cheque of MK200 000.

“Uh-huh! This is something,” Detective Nospoh suspected.

“Is it enough?” Dennis asked.

“I hope so. These people have a lot to explain,” he said as he stood up, “Thanks Dennis. You are very brave. I have to return home,” he said.

“See you detective,” Mrs Msiska replied.

“Are you staying?” he asked.

“Yeah. He may need someone to talk to,” she said and he left.

The news of Mrs Khoviwa’s arrest was not made known to the public although some well-connected journalists had already gotten wind of the news.

Sergeant Moliati was in his house when he heard a knock. Someone blindfolded him as he tried opening the door. Two hours later, he was in a car garage. Lights went on and he was sitting in the company of Detective Nospoh, Mashangano and Dede, The Giant. There was a green car and the people were sitting next to it.

The three formed a curve and placed Moliati in the middle of it. He was then tied to a chair. The detectives had guns, cuffs and ropes. Dede had a sharp machete and a hammer.

“Nice meeting you again sergeant.” Mashangano took it.

“Kids. That’s all you are,” he said calmly.

“Shut up!” Detective Nospoh shouted.

“I don’t take orders from you,” he said and Dede hammered his right foot.

“I had enough beatings at police training,” Moliati mocked.

“You have a few options left,” Mashangano said as he took his rope and choked Moliati.

Dede started peeling Moliati’s thigh-skin slowly till he gestured them to leave him.

They did and he opened up, “I was booked to kill you guys.”

“Now you’re talking.” Dede smiled.

“Aah! I told her that killing you would only stir up more troubles so we decided to frame you.”

“Frame us?” Mashangano asked.

“Yes. Jezebel was the one who killed Alfred Matsile of the Matsile Milling Company. It was a business gone wrong,” he replied.

“Why excluding Paulo?”

“Because he was part of us,” he replied.

“Ooh?”

“Yea. Well, I organised the attack and Paulo stole your gun and the case files,” he said, screaming a little.

“But why?”

“As I said, it was business gone wrong. Mrs Khoviwa sells her maids. She happened to sell Mr Matsile some girl whom he slept with and got STIs from. As revenge, he planned on telling the police so she killed him to silence him,” he said and Detective shook his head in disbelief.

The sergeant confessed many things and in the end, Dennis appeared from behind the car with a camera.
