“Ntombazana yam! What’s going on? Are you okay? Is someone chasing you?” A middle-aged woman spoke from a car.

Siphe had just seen a view of a mall and was running towards it when she passed by this parked car by the road. She did not know whether to trust this lady. She was scared!

“Darling, you can speak to me and I will help. It pains me to see a woman in such a state. Especially here in South Africa. Or at least allow me to drive you to the mall,” the woman said.

Siphe jumped into the car and asked for water. She drank a 500ml bottle in one go. As they were driving to the mall, Siphe told her the whole story. The woman offered to call the police. They parked the car, and the woman took out her phone. As she was about to call, her children called her regarding an emergency happening at their house. She saw her husband emerging from the mall shouting on the phone.

“You see that man there? He is my husband. Is it okay if I ask him to come and assist or are you uncomfortable with that?” the woman asked.

Siphe decided to let her guard down and welcome the help.

The husband told his wife that she could go sort out the emergency and he would take care of Siphe. Siphe thanked the woman and she was offered a very motherly hug.

The husband had offered to take her to a safe environment while they hunted down the criminals. She hopped into his car. The car doors were locked. The black-tinted windows were closed. The car drove at full speed. In a matter of minutes, Siphe found herself back in Samkelo’s mansion.

It was Galeka’s wife who had come to her aid. She had unknowingly delivered Siphe to her hunter, and now Siphe could not escape.

She was taken out of Galeka’s car and directed to the guest room she had slept in the previous night. Samkelo was not in sight. Only four men with loaded guns.

Mr. Galeka called Samkelo, and he came back.

“Why did you run away, lady?” Samkelo asked.

“What do you want from me?” Siphe helplessly asked, with rivers of tears running down her face.

Samkelo took out a photograph and showed it to her. “You see this man here. He messed with the wrong guys. And you, my lady, are our access to him,” Samkelo said with a smirk.

“Why me? How do I have anything to do with this?” Siphe asked with a confused mind.

“Are you this naïve? You can’t even recognise your father?” Samkelo shouted.

Siphe kept on claiming that she did not know the man in the picture. The guns were pointed at her but she stood her ground.

As Samkelo took one of the guns, Sophia hysterically knocked on the door, screaming out Samkelo’s name.

Samkelo got ready to pull the trigger.

“You will kill the wrong person! Let the innocent girl go!” Sophia screamed.
