Mark ran after Diego. The doctor told Alejandro that he could be discharged today. As Diego was about to go out the door, Mark pulled him back.

“Diego, hold on! What happened in there? What did Alejandro say to you to make you react like this?” asked Mark.

Diego just looked at Mark as he talked, then he gave him a hug. He didn’t want Mark to know what had happened between him and Ale that night. “It’s complicated, but it’s nothing, it’s completely nothing. I was just happy to see that he’s better,” lied Diego, then he told Mark that he was going home.

Alejandro got ready to go home. As he was getting dressed, he didn’t see Diego.

“Honey, what happened with Diego?” asked Ale’s mother. Mark could see that Alejandro looked very nervous.

“It was nothing,” replied Alejandro. “We just had a small argument, that’s all. It’s completely nothing.” Alejandro was still very uncomfortable with the whole Diego thing.

“As it’s already Friday and Alejandro is all well now, I guess he can go to the sleepover,” said Geoff.

Alejandro didn’t know anything about the sleepover. Alejandro knew that Diego would also be there, and he didn’t want to see Diego.

“No, I’m sorry, but I’m not in the mood and my head is still a little dizzy. Sorry guys, but I won’t be able to make it,” said Alejandro.

Mark kept wondering what had happened between Diego and Alejandro. When they got to Ale’s house, Ale went straight to bed. Mark, Kim and the other guys went to their favourite place: the beach. Alejandro was at home thinking about what Diego had said; he just couldn’t believe it. Diego was also at home, feeling sorry for himself. Diego couldn’t even eat or sleep because he was so miserable. His parents started to get very worried.

On Saturday, the group of friends decided to drink in Mark’s backyard. Diego’s Dad told him to go and say “hi” to his friends. Diego didn’t want to go, but his Dad forced him to. Diego went to Mark’s house and saw that Alejandro wasn’t there. The guys were so happy to see Diego, but they saw that he looked weird.

“Diego, are you OK man?” Austin asked. “You look different.”

Diego just smiled. Alejandro came over for the same reason: just to say “hi”. Alejandro and Diego looked at each other very deeply.

“Hey guys, I only came to see how you were doing, so I’m just gonna go now. See you!” Ale said. Kim told him to stay for a while. “No, I can’t,” insisted Ale. “I have some things to do at home, so I’m gonna go now.”

Mark could see and feel the tension between Diego and Alejandro. After Alejandro left, Diego also went home. When Diego got home, he fell on the couch and cried heavily. His parents weren’t at home. A few minutes later, Mark arrived and found Diego like that. Now Mark knew for sure that something was up.

“I can’t anymore, I just can’t. This is too bad for me. No, I’m going to forget everything. I’m going to put it all behind me and move on. Yes, that’s what I’m going to do. I just can’t keep hurting myself like this,” Diego kept on saying.

Mark asked Diego what was going on, but Diego just went to his room, took some clothes and went with Mark to his house to join the sleepover without saying anything. Kim went to Ale’s house to ask him to join the sleepover, so Alejandro agreed, because he thought that Diego wouldn’t be there.

By the time Kim and Ale arrived, Diego and Mark weren’t there. They went to buy some wine. Alejandro started to miss Diego’s presence.

“Ale, so what did you and Diego do for the week?” asked Austin.

Alejandro didn’t know what to say, he felt so uncomfortable. They all went to the beach to start the day there. They planned to sit in the backyard later. They all swam except for Ale, because he went to the bathroom. When he came back, Steve and Austin grabbed him.

“No, Austin! Put me down! No Steve, I don’t want to swim, put me down!” Ale screamed. He threw his phone to Kim and then splash! Alejandro was surrounded by water. They all laughed. While Alejandro was in the water, Mark and Diego arrived.

A message came through on Ale’s phone from Dwayne. Kim read the message. It said: “Hey babe, I really miss you a lot. I’m gonna come visit you, I wanna spend some time with you.”

Kim was so surprised by the message. She went and sat with Mark and Diego. Alejandro ran out of the water all wet. He didn’t actually see Diego, because he wasn’t expecting him to be there. He shook his hair dry when he got to his friends. Alejandro looked straight into Diego’s face, speechless.

“Hey Diego, what’s up?” asked Alejandro.

Diego just looked back at Ale and smiled like everything was fine. “Meh, I’m just chilling,” he replied. They all sat down and watched everyone swimming and having a marvellous time.

“So Ale, who’s Dwayne?” Kim asked.
