On her first day of school, Nothando stood with her backpack at the gate of her new school. She wore a blue blazer and navy blue skirt with a white t-shirt, and she had on her black Toughees shoes. On her hand she had a book, and written on it was: My Dear Love Diary. She flipped the first page open, pasted Samson’s letter on it, and wrote: “The Love That Never Loved Us”.

“I never give up on anyone, so I hope that one day I’ll look for you and we’ll love each other once again.”

She had always dreamt about Samson asking her for a second chance. She would wake up every morning regretting what had happened between them, and it was as if their love haunted her, or Samson still had feelings for her somewhere in the world. But what was there to say, it was over.
