Gazing into each other’s eyes, they felt connected and were one…one being. They shared the same thoughts and the same feelings. Their love was the most powerful; it always shone to the dark horizon and promised nothing but happiness and love to their union. The fortified union was able to withstand the harshest storm and continued forward…they wanted to marry one another, but Lukhanyiso needed his father’s blessing. Without it, he couldn’t marry Mandlenkosi.
The amulet on the platinum chain around Lukhanyiso’s neck started to glow. He knew that his amulet glowed, but it had never elevated and shot a purple beam into the ceiling before. The purple beam of light protruded outside the roof tile and disappeared into the starry heavens.
“What was that?” Lukhanyiso asked as he detached from Mandlenkosi’s embrace and stared at the opening in his roof.
“You’re the one.” Mandlenkosi whispered as he looked up at his lover. “You are the one who can save us. You’re the one I was made for.” For the first time, a tear streamed down his cheek as he smiled at his lover. “My one true love,” another tear fell… “My angel.”
“I am the one you’ve been looking for all this time?” Lukhanyiso smiled as he stood in front of the man, who had always been looking for him.
The purple stream of light shot down from the sky, now orbited by spiralling white rays. Mandlenkosi, who now had a face filled with tears, grabbed Lukhanyiso tenderly, brought him forward and wrapped his arms around him. The beam shot down, causing a wider opening before it landed on the floor. The linear sphere of light morphed into an oval pulsating light circled by white rays which circled the luminous purple light. A convergence occurred until the light was a small white speck which hovered above the floor.
Then, a purple aura embodied the small speck of light as it shaped a tall figure; the two men could only see the lower body as the upper body peaked outside the house. Inside the purple aura, the white speck of light was replaced with a tall naked figure which was soon draped with purple silk shortly after the alteration of light into flesh. The gigantic entity lowered its body as it knelt on the floor and looked at Lukhanyiso who was shielded by a joyful Mandlenkosi. The entity had big purple eyes and bushy eyebrows, a button nose, and a frizzy afro which had purple and white buds and petals intertwined on the shiny black hair. On his forehead, there was a purple gem shaped like an octahedron.
“I am the one you’ve been searching for. And you have come for me,” Lukhanyiso muttered as he recalled Mandlenkosi’s reason to be in Luxury City.
“Molweni,” the gigantic entity greeted with a deep voice which had the ability to soothe each and every negative emotion possessed by any creature that listened. “You have found him, Ruwois Cepuro.” His glimmering purple eyes gazed at Mandlenkosi. “I told you that you would be magnetised to him.”
“Arafci Ntiorce Doveira.” Mandlenkosi, whose name was truly Ruwois Cepuro, stood next to Lukhanyiso and then knelt in front of the entity. He bowed his head.
A tremor erupted all over Luxury City. It lasted for about five seconds, and its intensity was enough to knock down a five storey building. Luckily the houses in Luxury City were designed by a magnificent architect who placed safety before luxury and style.
“No!” Mandlenkosi muttered as he flared open his eyes and stood up. “The one I stabbed was one of the Divine Protectors of Actual-Earth?” he asked as he looked at Ntiorce Doveira.
“Yes. But that isn’t the matter now. With him, we can protect both worlds.” Ntiorce answered as he gave him a reassuring nod. He smiled back and exhaled.
“What was that?” Lukhanyiso asked as he held on to Mandlenkosi after the earthquake stopped.
“Lukhanyiso,” the entity looked at him, his big eyes piercing. “We need you to help us rid Distort-Earth of a sinister creature that plans to make Luxury City a breeding hub for demons.”
“Why me though? Mandlenkosi never told me the full story, only that he was looking for a man who could destroy evil and was meant for him.” Lukhanyiso furrowed his eyebrows and looked at the entity with a crazy afro. “I am just a 19-year-old guy who…” he struggled to identify who he truly was, “who is still searching for himself. A man who lost his parents…who lived in utter misery half of his life.” He attempted to look away but the entity’s eyes prevented him from breaking eye contact. “Why me?”
The second tremor arrived and it was stronger now as it lasted for fifteen seconds. “You are the only one that can destroy the Scourge, more will be revealed when we arrive in Distort-World.”
“All this time, I have been looking for Aghd Therill, and he was right beside me all along.” Mandlenkosi smiled at Lukhanyiso.
Ntiorce Doveira blinked and Lukhanyiso was able to look away. He looked down at Lukhanyiso who showed admiration in his eyes as he looked at his one true love. “Well then, who can turn down an offer like that… an offer to save two worlds?” He looked away from Mandlenkosi and looked at Ntiorce Doveira. “I accept.”
