“What? How’s that even possible?” Bra Blade put the gun down, his hands on his head.

“What did you say? Is this Bonga Khuzwayo? My father?” Sange asked in shocked. Bra Blade was also shocked to hear her say his full name.

He could not help it but cry, what had he done? He had never been seen that vulnerable before. “Sange Dulu, Boniswa’s daughter?” he cried.

“Yes,” Sange said sobbing. She was out of strength, her own father had raped her and was ready to sell her to some strangers in Nigeria; on the other hand, her so-called ‘boyfriend’ had sold her out. It was just so much to digest. “I don’t blame my grandmother for not letting you take me. You are a dog, you deserve to die like a dog,” she cried. “You, I hate you. You are the reason why I am here; you are the reason I hate myself,” she said, pointing at Siks.

“He left me with no choice, I saw his guys abducting girls, I recorded everything and when I was about to give it to the police; I honestly do not know how he found out about me. But he sent me a picture of him pointing at my mother, he burnt our house, my granny and niece died in there. He said he would do it again if I did not delete the video. I later got this filthy tattoo done on my hands, he forced me to do his dirty work under his threats,” Siks explained.

He said everything he wanted to say because his saw his boss’ susceptibility, he wanted to take advantage of that and gain Sange’s trust again. He could not imagine how she felt, he wanted to be there for her in every step of the way.

“Was the girl on the bus really your girlfriend, or it is another lie?” Sange said.

“She was one of the girls that were abducted, I had sold her out…” he confessed.

“Just like you did to me,” Sange said pushing him on his chest, her eyes were red from crying, she had bruises all over her body.

“She found out about me and found her way to escape. She went home and never came back. Remember when you saw her on the bus? She was going to finish off with school and start over, she was probably tired of running,” Siks said.

“It all makes sense now, this was the reason why she was so terrified of you, because she thought history would repeat itself. I should have listened to her, she warned me, and I ignored her,” Sange cried.

“They killed her because of that, she was a huge threat,” Siks said.

“Say ‘we’! You are a part of the problem as well,” she beat him on the chest with his elbows. “Justice needs to be served, you’re both going to jail for this,” Sange threatened.

“Sange I love you, so if it is what you want, then so be it,” Siks said holding her hands tightly, with tears cracking from his eyes.

“It is what is, right!” Sange corrected.

“Sange, I know I have just met you since… but I have to leave. Jail is not right for me, I am sorry for what I did,” Bra Blade said, wiping his tears.

“Unfortunately, that is not going to happen,” Sange said.

She was not afraid of him anymore. He quickly dressed up and then looked for his passport, he was ready escape and start a new life. He paused for a few minutes, then said, “Or, I could just kill the both of you and move on with my life, I can’t sacrifice my life because of you two!” he rushed to grab the gun, he saw Siks jump from where he was on the floor and headed for the gun as well. If he did not grab it before the boss, he was a dead man. Luckily, he managed to grab it first, despite his bleeding leg.

“You are not going anywhere until we call the police,” Siks pointed the gun at him.
