Days went by and it was the day of Dario’s funeral. He had a Christian funeral and guess what… I didn’t go. I was too emotional and physically exhausted. Zaahir and mom went along, I stayed behind at home.

I got bored at home just sitting there, so I cooked so long for my mom and brother. When they got home they told me everything about the funeral and how all the gang members were there. And they also cried. My mom was happy that I cooked and didn’t sleep all day, deep in her heart, she was actually worried about me.

“Sammi will be coming by later on, she said she’s leaving tonight,” Mom said.

“Oh, that’s… nice…” I said.

“Bishni, you can’t go on like this my dear child, you have to let go,” she said.

“Mom… please. Not now…” I said.

“You gonna have to talk about it sooner or later Bishni,” my brother said walking into the kitchen.

“Zaahir, today isn’t the time to talk about him. We all just buried him… I…” I said, tears flowing down from my face.

“It’s okay sis… let it all out.” Zaahir said, holding me.

“Tuneesah said they all are waiting at Wayne’s house for you, Bishni. Are you going?” my mom asked.

“I’ll go mom.” I said taking my coat and kissing my brother on his forehead, thanking him for everything.

Zaahir and myself sat on the porch waiting for Sammi. When she came we went to Wayne’s. There we all took a puff.

“Feels so good after such a long time…” Sammi said.

“I didn’t know you smoke.” Ariana said.

“I don’t, I did when I was small and that was a long time ago,” Sammi said, laughing her butt off.

“You must be very high now!” Tuneesah said laughing too.

Evan then walked into the room and kissed Ariana. I didn’t know they were dating.

“Baby…” Ariana said.

“Love…” Evan said.

Jule is dol verlief skaapies,” Tuneesah said.

Wayne got up and sat next to Tuneesah and they started to kiss passionately. We all told them to get a room and they went to the other room and Allah knows what happened there.

“Bishni…” Luke called me out.

We walked to the back of the house, leaving the crowd behind.

“How are you…?” Luke asked.

“I’m doing fine, thank you, Luke… why do you look so pale so suddenly?” I asked.

“Oh no, it’s… it’s nothing… I’m doing fine too…” Luke said and then there was a moment of silence between us.

We both looked up to the stars. And when I looked at him, he was already looking at me the whole time, but then he looked away. I smiled a bit, and for the first time, I felt that I had let go of Dario and he was happy where he was now. I looked back at Luke and then…

“Bishni… I like you… a lot!” Luke said, he made me blush.

“I like you too Luke.” I said.

“Okay…” he said.

“Luke, stop shaking!” I laughed.

“You’re just too beautiful and you have an amazing personality…” he said while putting his hand on my cheek and rubbing through my hair. He leaned in to kiss me. With our eyes closed, I kissed him back.

We kissed long and his hands were on my waist now, mine were around his neck. I moved my hands down his back and I was amazed by how buff he was. I stopped him and I smiled at him and he smiled back. I looked up one last time and a shooting star came.

“Make a wish Luke…” I said, putting his arms around me.

“My wish… already came through…” he said, kissing me again.

The End
