Kevin was still dedicated to learning. He went to school every day and stayed a couple more hours at the library reading books.

One day the rival gang attacked him to retaliate against the member Kevin had killed. He was beaten to a pulp and woke up in hospital where he spent 6 hours in surgery. All hell broke loose when the Nazi members heard about the incident. They already knew who was responsible, White Boys.

Clive Dawson, the leader of the rival gang, White Boys, suffered the most. He was also beaten, but his condition was much worse. He had a fractured jaw, four broken ribs and twelve stitches. Both incidents added to the bad blood between the rival gangs and to an extent gang members were afraid of roaming in certain areas.

Emma did not respond well to Kevin’s injury. She kept asking why her son got involved in gangs. The problem was that Kevin didn’t want his mother to know about his plans because he knew how his mother felt about violence. Emma didn’t know Kevin as a bad boy, a child who was involved in gangs and other criminal activities. She saw Kevin as a good boy, a boy who is determined to succeed in life. All she ever wanted was for Kevin to be better than his older siblings, Johannes and Elizabeth.

Johannes was a good guy, many disliked him for the creativity he had. Johannes dropped out of school, which meant that he never got a good education. His dream was to be an artist. He could draw exceptionally well. Elizabeth on the other hand was a ravishing lady. She was lucky enough to graduate high school, but didn’t have financial support to study further. Both were living with their father in Kimberly. Their mother kicked them out due to them not being obedient. Kevin did not share the same father as Johannes and Elizabeth, but they remained close despite this. Kevin was very close to Elizabeth, they shared almost everything. Kevin was more open to his sister than their mother.

John, Kevin’s best friend was also not let in on the secret. The two shared everything. Every detail of their lives they shared. The two were like twins – inseparable. They were born in the same year; they grew up together.

John was part of the Cash Time gang. They were allies of the Nazi gang. The Cash Time’s were known for being involved in everything that involved money. That was their role, to accumulate wealth. The Nazi’s on the other hand specialised in assassinations. John was the leader of the Cash Time, but no one would notice because he had a good reputation in the community. He was humble and many aspired to be like him.

The problem with John was that he was greedy. He liked to explore things and the only time Kevin heard the word “Cocaine” was the time John told him that he had a hit. John was a master in planning. He would plan a heist almost impossible to accomplish, but with careful planning and consideration he would find a loophole in every situation. There was a time when the Nazis were after a tricky target, but were unable to nail him. Some other guy mentioned John. John worked around the target and his family’s schedule and finally nailed him. John created a carbon wire and connected it to the electrical circuit in the target’s house, he glued it under a bathroom tile. During the day the target’s wife found her husband dead in the bath tub, electrocuted to death.

Yes, it was true that investing in knowledge pays the best interest. Both Kevin and John had exceptional knowledge on how to tackle different situations.
