She waited for him,
In the dark silence in which he kept her
Shackled to his conditions
And kept half-starved from his capitalist world

He reminded her, he was her hero
Yet she was unsure what she was saved from.

An attraction of bad taste
A stubborn stain on the heart
A sour stench in the air and
Threads unravelling from a cheap garment.

And suddenly her reasoning snapped
Like a changing of gears
She left, cleansed from his regal filth.
And although her eyes burnt and flowed
They washed the heart
