Here but not there
A stranger I became
Asking where?
But where?
To find my voice a home

Where laughter is not a spear
For what it is I fear
To the light I ran
For my struggle to end

Alone I sat
Asking how?
But how did my voice become a joke
On their words I started to choke

Never mind the walk of shame
Though I had to aim
Life had never been the same
Just because of my voice

Joined hands with my Father from above
Asking for love
While they laugh at my untold story
And the ones called my friends
A joke to them I became
