Before Saint Valentine’s Day
I made a wish upon a star
That come that charming Thursday
We could be lovers not afar
And when sunrise came
I was kindly granted my wish

From godly Cupid’s flame
All stressful times have vanished
Gone are my longings
Of proposing to find Mrs Right
Crying countless mornings
Reading love poems through the night

Today it is beautiful
I now have you by my side
Life could never be more fruitful
Petals of red African roses
Displayed on the long necks
Of the white gentle horses we ride
