All the cries
All the lies
I remember not

Like Martin Luther King
I also had a dream

Dreams breathed along the bonfire
But just like a happy past memory
They faded away

I remember they were never ready,
And tossed me aside,
I lost all my pride,
Fighting and searching,
Like a dog scavenging for a bone in the street,
Because like that dog, I never belonged,

My sister found me and made me
She stripped herself down
And made me a crown

Old friend drowned
Killed herself
I wanted that too
But I remembered my crown

I have a dream to be
Reborn and free
Just like the old
I only have photos for show
