I packed up my suitcase and
I left my sorrowful home
Just walked away and wandered
hungry and alone
gave up all that possessed me
things that held me down
looking for that heart of gold
nowhere to be found

O’ I saw the groups of noble men
who on life, love, and beauty did expound
When I chimed in and asked a bit of love for myself
they didn’t want me around
O’ philosophy is a vicious thing
when its circle be a fence
to keep the hungry needy out
and lock the key within
for philosophy
if it be good and pure
may not be reserved for lofty minds
leaving those in pain behind
truth is simple and easily shared
