A mother’s life
as peaceful as a dove
A mother’s life
ended by a knife
By her son
Will the big yellow sun
ever rise upon him
He needed money
He fell into bad company
He stole
He lied
His mother died
He could have been sad
But he’s mad
He wanted to be rad
Is that so wrong?
They say forgive and forget
But will he forgive?
Will he forget?
Someone else could be blamed
But it’s still going to be the same
He could follow her
like a tail
or maybe sail away
Two wrongs don’t make a right
But it feels right
he wants to do it tonight
But will it bring light?
He wants to avenge himself
But how could he avenge himself
when there’s no-one to blame
but himself?
