Lord grant my children strength!
And teach them to live their troubles not,
To shift it all aside,
To in their hearts find in you delight,
From infant, like a seed you leave to grow,
Grant them the ability to hold on and carry on.
For weak in human kindness we sometimes come to be,
To stop and drop, give up on carrying on,
Grant them strength and light to search their paths,
Within their hearts oh Lord, create a world where you are father,
Where you to them are knowledge, wisdom and enlightenment;
Oh Lord and as they play, still learning wrong from right,
Be there to ease their battles,
When I am not,
When I am not.
