(The funeral of Nonkuthazo is taking place at Sea-grass hall on Saturday morning. Family and friends were there at the hall to pay their last respects to Nonkuthazo and say goodbye to her.)

Reverend Bom Mntla: We are all disappointed in the way Nonkuthazo lost her life. Nonkuthazo, we are going to miss you forever. We, as the Sea-grass community, must learn from this tragedy. We must teach our children to look for better job opportunities. The people who killed Nonkuthazo were only looking for many because they were poor. We have one last hope from the police. We are lucky because on the day of the wedding, there was an automatic video camera in the hall. The police looked at the footage and saw the faces of the three men who killed Nonkuthazo. The police were also able to print the photos of those three men. The police said, they will distribute the photos of those three men who killed Nonkuthazo. People who have any information about the three men who killed Nonkuthazo will be rewarded with R100 000.00. I am going to give a chance to the elder of Ntabenzulu’s family, Mr. Mdyarho, to speak to you now.

Mdyarho: Good morning, Sea-grass people. I came from the Eastern Cape to negotiate wedding gifts with the Ntlalo family, so that they could allow their daughter Nonkuthazo to join the Ntabenzulu family peacefully. The negotiations went well because God was with us during that time. I didn’t know much about the girl. The doctor from the mortuary told us that Nonkuthazo was also two months and three-weeks pregnant. The doctor told us that she found the child still breathing, although the child was very small. The child will be under the doctor’s eye, until the child finishes at least eight months. We ask everybody to pray for the child, who is fighting for his life. The doctor told us that the reason the child survived is because his mother was shot on the head and not near her stomach. We are also grateful to hear that the other people who were shot on their legs are recovering well in hospital. I want to say thank you to Reverend Mntla for giving me the chance to talk about Nonkuthazo’s death.

Reverend Bom Mntla: I’m very impressed with the way Mr. Mdyarho gave us fruitful information about Nonkuthazo. We will always remember Nonkuthazo’s death. We must teach our children to be more educated and responsible because we lost this beautiful soul because of three men who wanted to rob the money on the big metal plate. The three men knew that they would be caught by the crowd if they didn’t use their guns. Nonkuthazo was unlucky to be shot on the head. We must take Nonkuthazo’s coffin and walk slowly to the graveyard, so that this beautiful angel can be sleep peacefully forever.
