The school is moving towards the fields and parents are joining in to watch the game.

NOLUVUYO: (spots Liso) There you are!

Liso runs to hug her mother.

LISO: (Joyfully bows) Welcome to sports day, madam!

NOLUVUYO: (smiling) Look who’s pumped up! I take it you are ready for the game?

LISO: Well, let me just introduce myself.

Noluvuyo looks at her with anticipation.

LISO: Meet the new member of the ASPS and the therapeutic writing programme.

NOLUVUYO: (Squeals) My baby! You have no idea of how proud I am right now! You have dreamt of this day ever since you were a toddler!

LISO: And now it has come to life! I wish dad were here to witness it.

NOLUVUYO: He would be so proud! We should celebrate after this game!

LISO: Thank you, Mama! I will also be joining the ladies’ soccer team permanently. I have learnt that it is more than a task I have to do for psychological reasons. It has become a hobby for me. I just have to practice more until I play like a pro.

NOLUVUYO: You make me so proud to be your mom!

They hug one last time before Liso heads towards the changing rooms and her mother to the bleachers. When Liso comes out from changing she meets Linda.

LINDA: Hey Liso, can we talk?

LISO: (Hesitant) Yeah?

LINDA: I just want to apologise for all that I have done to you before. Your speech made me realise that I could have understood your position and supported you. I was wrong to see you as a fake friend. I really…

COACH: (shouting) Gather around team!!!

They have to stop talking before they can finish their conversation. Liso is determined to give her all to this game. As the game starts she smiles at Linda.
