It is early in the morning when Linda receive a phone call from Rahul.

Linda: Hello?

Rahul: Have you thought about my offer?

Linda: Yes, you can collect her anytime you want.

Rahul: I have paid your money so you can expect to see me soon.

Linda: I will make sure she does not leave the house.

Rahul: If I don’t find her with you, there will be trouble.

Linda: I promise you there won’t be any mistakes and besides I am tired of living in poverty.

Rahul: Now that you have me , you will longer be a poor.

Linda: I have to go now. (She hangs up her phone call).

After a little while Thembi asks her mother questions regarding the phone call she received.

Thembi: Ma, who were you talking to?

Linda: No one, why?

Thembi: It seemed important.

Linda: No, you are just imagining things, my dear.

Thembi: If you say so. Let me go to check my pots.

She leaves.
