(It is 20:00pm at night, and Lusapho has been sleeping for over 2 hours. Asiphe decides to wake him up to eat and freshen-up.)

Asiphe: Luu! You’ve been sleeping for over 2 hours, babe. You have to wake up and have something to eat.

Lusapho: Goodness gracious, you mean I’ve been asleep that long, babe? Is my work stuff ready?

Asiphe: All is in order. Now, please wake up and eat.

Lusapho: Okay, honey! But, what do you have for me? I hope there’s more meat on that plate than any other thing.

Asiphe: Yes, there is. Now, come on love. You need your strength, and while you’re at it, start telling me about your journey home and how they’re all doing back there. Maybe all of that will help me understand why you were screaming in your sleep.

Lusapho: Me, screaming in my sleep?

Asiphe: Yes, you were busy screaming throughout your entire nap. Now, what’s troubling you, Lusapho?

Lusapho: Nothing is troubling me, babe. I’m sure it was just a bad dream, nothing more. Our journey was just fine, and we enjoyed it very much. Love, we’ve been together for two years now, but you’re still not ready to meet my Mom, and she would really love to meet you. She asked me about you, and I just had to lie again and tell her that it will all happen in good time.

Asiphe: Now that’s what I love about you, babe. You always have something amicable to say to every question that comes your way. All in good time, love, all in good time. Did you guys end up buying the bottle for your uncle like you said you would?

Lusapho: Yes we did, but I wasn’t there when Lumko gave it to him. He says that, when he gave it to him, he was busy singing and chanting unknown incantations nonstop. You should have travelled with us, you know. Next time, you’ll see me arriving here with Mom without you knowing about it, you’ll see.

Asiphe: Do that if you want to see me dying in front of the both of you. I asked you to give me some time, love, and you agreed. So, please, no pressure.

Lusapho: It’s okay, babe, I was just pulling your leg. You know I would never do such a thing to the love of my life, the pillar of my strength. You’re my heart in human form; my other half. You’re my ride or die, babe.

Asiphe: (Blushing.) You see, I told you that you watch too many movies.

Lusapho: Look, I spent the whole weekend without the love of my life, so how about we head to bed because I know once you start a conversation, it never ends.

Asiphe: (Lets out a sigh.) I’ll let that one slide, just for tonight. On second thought, don’t touch me when we get into that bed. I want to teach you a lesson to never say words like that to a beautiful lady like myself in your entire life again.

Lusapho: You mean, you would do that to your husband to be?

Asiphe: Watch me! (She enters the bedroom with a very naughty expression on her face.)
