It’s two hours later. Reina and Estrella are outside the headmistress’s chambers.  The guards seated outside her door have all fallen into a deep slumber.

REINA: It’s time now, do your thing, girl.

Estrella concentrates on opening the door.

REINA: Are you winning?

ESTRELLA: (sighing heavily) The door is sealed with high-level magic. I cannot do this, Reina.

REINA: You can do it! Just remember that those innocent students depend on us, remember that in just 24 hours it will be Media Luna night and we are the only ones that can stop her!

Estrella exhales and focuses all her energy on the door while chanting a mantra. Finally, the door opens.

REINA: You’re a star!

They walk through to the headmistress’s bedroom.

ESTRELLA: I will be with you every step of the way, Reina (squeezes her hand).

Reina touches Diablo’s forehead, closes her eyes and begins to tap into her memories, thoughts, desires and wishes. Moments later she speaks.

REINA: I have found it, but it has been buried very far from here.

ESTRELLA: Buried? What is ‘it’?

REINA: The hair of the very first person she killed…

ESTRELLA: What!?

REINA: Her name was Geneva. They were classmates at the Academia Secreto many years ago, but Geneva was more powerful; more beautiful; more popular and everyone believed she’d grow up to one day be the headmistress of this academy. She was a bright light, a breath of fresh air.

ESTRELLA: But why does she value the hair of a person she hated so much then?

REINA: It comes from a place of pride; I mean she singlehandedly killed the mighty Geneva and got away with it.

ESTRELLA: This is all messed up.

REINA: One other thing…

ESTRELLA: Yes?

REINA: The place where it is buried, is a bit far.

ESTRELLA: how far is a ‘bit far’?

Reina swallows hard, and looks horrified.
