The world and his wife are out on the streets, on this noisy evening. The aroma of beer fills the smoky sky. Houses glow with colourful interesting multifaceted bulbs. Young people glow from happiness, drinking alcohol. Cigarettes are everywhere in the streets. Crowded taverns there’s “Energy, energy, energy!” You can hear people singing along to the music. It’s a beer and skittles moment.

“It’s a wonderful day, oh Lord!” delighted pastors sing as they prepare for church. The streets are full of men dressed in black suits. Nyaope boys picking up cans and bottles of beer on the streets. Vegetable sellers going up and down the streets, “Zambani, tamati!” they shout. Gospel songs play in Christian houses, energetic people dance to them, holding bibles.
