Being in the different town with different people was strange to me; each and every single day I learned new things. The first day, my friend Mandla took me to the soccer field. It was the best day of my life as I enjoy watching soccer because I’m also a soccer player.

“Girls are beautiful, everything is cool here,” I said.

I was watching soccer and there was this beautiful lady who was passing by the stadium. she caught my eye and I had to introduce myself to her. She was beautiful, slender and, a yellow bone, just my type. When she saw me coming straight to her she just smiled. I just knew I was going to have the best day of my life. After our chat we exchanged numbers before I let her go.

The following day I asked her if we could go on a date, just the two of us. She was so excited and said she was looking forward to our first date. We set it up for Friday, the next day. I wanted to be well prepared. I wanted to let her know that I love her. So I organised a table for two at a beautiful restaurant I hoped she would love. I also borrowed my father’s car. I wanted to treat her like a princess and I knew the date would help me to know her better.

It was the Thursday, the day before our date, when she texted me on Whatsapp.

Sihle: hi coolest in de city
Thabo: hi most btful lady n de whle wld. hw a u?
Sihle: am dng jst fyn i jst cnt wit 4 tmrw

Sihle: k cnt wait. Xiao

That moment I realised that I really loved this girl. I had to let her know before I lost her to other boys. But I would fight for her. Those were my last thoughts before I fell asleep.

Early in the morning I texted Sihle, telling her what time I was going to fetch her. While I was getting ready I was so happy and shocked at the same time. What if I messed everything up?

The time came. I was waiting for her outside the car when she came out wearing a pink dress. Wow! She just killed me with her smile. I felt like I was in a different world. I wondered what did I do to deserve such a precious lady. She gave me a hug and a kiss on my cheek. I couldn’t’ say anything; I was out of words. I opened the door for her and said, “You can enter and seat, Princess.”

I knew which table was prepared for us. So when we got there I closed her eyes with my hands and took her to the table. When I opened her eyes she was so happy she said she was not expecting that much. I was happy to hear those words.

We sat.

“Sihle, before we eat I have something to tell you,” I said, sounding like I was about to propose. My knees were shaking because of the love I had for her. “I don’t know if I am man enough. I don’t know if I deserve your love. But Sihle, I just want to let you know that I love you. I really do. I loved you the first time I saw you.”

“Thabo, I love you too,” she said smiling. “The first time I saw you I knew in my heart that you were the love of my life. I just want you to take care of me don’t hurt me. If you can do that for me then you definitely deserve my love.” She smiled and we hugged each other and shared a kiss.

“Sihle, I guess we have to start eating because your soft lips just make me hungry, they make me want to eat you.” I teased.

“Yeah, I also think we have to eat because staring at you just makes me hungry. If I continue looking at you I will lose my appetite; you are disgusting,” she teased back and we both laughed.

It was like it was just the two of us in the restaurant. The waiter did everything and left us feeding each other like the people in the movies. It was like a dream came true to me.

It was 08:00 p.m. when I took Sihle back to her house. We were seating on the car outside Sihle’s gate talking about our first special day. We started kissing and her mom called in. We had to go our separate ways, just for that night. I couldn’t believe it. We texted all night long that night. I knew I had found the love of my life.

The End
