I may never find myself a well-put-together man
Mature, welded, and appropriately staunch
Eclectic shoulders, pervasive mind and tranquil soul
I may never meet a man of odd humour, steep pockets
And erected groin and character all bulging from his omnipotent form

I may never find myself in love, in matrimony or antenatal
Perhaps I should consider myself a unicorn, an angel
Or maybe even a deity of some form or nature.
I may never know the feeling of being elected by the one I elect
Because 25 years now I have breathed,
19 years I have studied, 6 years I have laboured
Only to find myself no more or less possessed,
As the day I broke out the womb.
