If I don’t pay You, I die.
If I don’t pay attention to You I die,
What more would I deserve?
What would I deserve if all I desired
Was myself?
Nothing else, but a quick nap
To hide this temple from these eyes
For if I don’t pay You, I die.
If I don’t pay You respect I die,
What more would I deserve
Other than a quick nap,
So these eyes would see me no more?
These who’s eyes only see
What they want to see
And not what they are supposed to see:
Your will.
But I don’t dwell in those sights
For I always try to practice your will,
Unlike them.
But if I spoke in this way,
what more would I deserve –
Other than a quick nap?
