Melusi



Her hair is all over the place, her lip gloss smeared on the side of her face and her eyes holds fire in them, God she looks so beautiful.

“What the hell do you think you are doing?” And there is the anger that comes so fast rising from her neck, making her whole face pink.

All I want is to slam my lips on hers and remind her that she’s mine and that she will always be mine but instead I stay rooted beside the door.

“So I’m an ass?” I asked calmly as I leaned against the door frame with my hands deep in my pockets. Melokuhle rolls her eyes as she looks at me “Are you crazy?”

I shrug my shoulders “Maybe.” I said walking towards her and sat next to her on the bed and brushed her hair away from her face. “I wanted to apologise.” I said my hand still lingering on the side of her face, how I missed holding her like this and having her next to me.

“And you thought this was the best way to do so?”

I shrugged as I dropped my hand “At the time I thought it was.” I said dropping my eyes to the floor “I just wanted to apologise.” I said in a low voice “I’m sorry for being an idiot that I was.”

Melokuhle let out a sigh “Melusi,”

“Please give me a chance to explain.” I said, I need to get this out of my chest, I need to tell her how much of an idiot I have been and how I never want to spend another night without her in arms. “I was weak and dumb. I know I shouldn’t have done what I did, God knows how much I hate myself for what I did to you. Losing you had taught me a valuable lesson, that I never want to spend any other day without you in my life Melokuhle.”

She lets out a heavy sigh “Just move on Melusi, allow yourself to heal.” I stepped closer to her and she swallowed back thickly, even though she was not going to admit it, I knew that she wants me as much as I want her.
