Madoda Gcwadi, one of the prominent figures in the struggle for freedom and justice for the people of South Africa, is a well-known author of isiXhosa literature who advocates for peace, justice and reconciliation. Madoda is the author of eight books. He is receiving invitations for speaking engagements and encourages community healing dialogues to the community of Cape Town. He has trained facilitators for community development and creative writing programmes. Madoda Gcwadi was born in South Africa and trained as a teacher and a playwright. He has been very vocal on issues of injustice and suffering. Some of his staged plays during apartheid era include: The Traffic Jam, Guilty Secret and False Identity.
Madoda is the co-editor of Dare to Change.
