Jayne Bauling’s YA novels have won the Macmillan Writer’s Prize for Africa, the Maskew Miller Longman Literature Award and the Sanlam Gold Prize for Youth Literature. The most recent, Dreaming of Light, was chosen for the 2014 IBBY Honour List. Before switching to YA, she wrote romance novels. Her short stories for adults and youth have been published in a number of anthologies. She is a regular contributor of stories and poems to the Breaking the Silence anthologies brought out annually by People Opposing Women Abuse. She lives in White River in Mpumalanga.
