I studied Versatile Broadcasting at the Tshwane University of Technology. In 2010 at the age of 19 I self published a poetry book titled Colourless.
My passion for reading and writing led me to teach and start a reading club in Tsomo a rural town in the Eastern Cape, trained by Nal’ibali to be a reader leader. I volunteered at the library and worked alongside organisations for creating change agents, organising the first Grade 9 Career Exhibition in Tsomo partnering with the Department of Education and giving young girls the platform to open up about rape and shame in classroom open talks titled: Young People Speak. I am now a mother and wife who has relocated to KZN working with schools offering “Public Speaking, Debate and Story Telling” Oratory classes for free to disadvantaged schools.
I put God first and live by the quote,”Love your neighbour as you love yourself”. What I love about writing is how it helps the writer heal, grow and share ideas, inspiration and love.
Most recently one of my poems titled, Hlaziyeka emandleni, has been accepted for online publication on the Avbob Poetry Project 2019. I sell pure Coconut Oil, I do this where I live, in taxi ranks and even door to door in my neighbourhood as most children suffer from skin infections and ringworms. Most recently I discovered that it treats eczema so I am enjoying teaching people about the different natural oils.
