I’m Musawenkosi Walter Mtshali, a twenty-three year-old from KZN. I was born in Madadeni Provincial Hospital and I’m the last born – 4th child – to my parents. I’m a twenty-three year old male.
I completed matric in 2010. I’m currently volunteering as an End User Computer Facilitator in a small organization. I’m also studying N6: Financial Management at Majuba TVET College.
I started writing short stories in 2011. But I stopped writing as I felt that it wasn’t going to help me in my career and at that time, I didn’t know how to use a computer. I only wrote stories in my exercise books. The whole year of 2012, I never wrote anything in my exercise books.
In 2013, I was listening to Ukhozi FM and doing my accounting homework, around twelve-thirty in the midnight. There’s a show that is called Akulalwa, hosted by Bheka Mchunu – BK. The way Lungisani Mavundla red his drama, Unyaka Wes’thembiso – I was inspired. I continued listening to the show every week. Around May that year, I bought an exercise book and started writing short stories again – till today.
I’ve successfully completed writing two short stories.
