I am Bukeka Somathuba. Was born and bred in Cape Town and I’m 23 years young.
Well, talking about my talent, I remember how I started writing as if it was yesterday. Back in primary school, that’s where it all started. I used to do what we call isiqendu since I was lonely most of the time. During break and lunch time my table wound be full of my classmates listening to me telling lies, they wouldn’t even want me to have my lunch or take a few minutes out.
I can say that’s how I made friends but things happened I ended up being shy of doing isiqendu and instead I’d write a dialogue, though I had a very poor English. Still my mates would fight for the paper, everyone wanted to read it first and that’s when I realised that writing wasn’t a hobby; it was talent that needed nothing but patience.
The way I love books I even make a film about them in my mind. In few years I don’t just wanna be a writer but I wanna have my own book shop, and a library if possible.
