Everything around me was pitch black,so black that I couldn’t see anything around me. My head was throbbing; it felt like I was bashed against the head with an object. I had no idea whether my eyes were open or not, but it felt heavy. Wiggling my fingers, they were stiff, but the more I wiggled them the more they loosened up a bit.

My entire body felt numb, and I felt like I could not move. I tried everything in my power to move my body, but nothing helped. Paying attention, I soon realized that I was tied up. My eyes were covered with a piece of cloth.

The entire room was silent, like there were no people in the room with me. I heard footsteps of people walking up and down in what sounds like a hall way. I didn’t know where I was, or if I was even alone in the room right now.

For all I know, there could be someone who has been watching me this entire time. Just thinking about it, freaked me the hell out. I decided to calm down and relax, and just think about all the ways that I could escape. Then again, it all really depends on where I am.

Does my mom know where I am? Does Sunny know that something’s wrong by now? How long have I been gone? All types of questions were running through my mind. Deep down I knew that my mom has figured out that I was missing. I saved someone else, now it’s my turn to be saved. How can I be saved if no one knows where I am, or that I am missing?

After what felt like hours of silence, I heard the lock of a door, and some more footsteps. It sounded like someone unlocked a door, and my first guess was the door in the room that I was held in. I had to keep myself calm, as I heard the footsteps approaching.

It sounded like there were more than one set of feet. There were multiple people in the room, one of them could possibly be my dad. To be honest, I was afraid , things have officially gotten worse. I had no idea what my dad had in store for me. He could kill me, for all I know.

I felt the cloth being taken off my face, but I still kept my eyes closed. I was too afraid to even see who they were, or what they would do or say to me. Soon I heard people talking, in order to hear what they were saying, I decided to lay completely still, in a deep sleep sort of state.

Right now I did not have any other choice, I couldn’t escape. Maybe listening to their conversation, it might just help me with my escape plan. I tried my best to lay completely still, not moving an inch was super difficult.

At first I didn’t understand what they were talking about. They were mumbling, then again it sounded like they were whispering. I tried to listen to what they were saying, but I couldn’t. Just as I’m about to give up, I heard the door open again. I soon heard another pair of footsteps.

“Did she wake up yet.” Someone asked.

“No sir.”

I heard a man sigh, listening to his voice, it sounded like my father. What the hell is he doing here? I really thought that he would stay in jail, where he belongs. I officially hated that guy now, even more for what he is putting his family through.

Sometimes I just wonder how on earth do some people give up their lifestyle for this. There are plenty of ways to make money, but I guess that this is just the most easiest way.

“Well, she has to wake up soon. We need to prepare her for the ritual, our leader will be here soon. How much did you give her any way?”

Yep, that voice most definitely belonged to my father. I could recognize that deep voice from anywhere. But wait, leader? I thought that he was the leader, or that he was somewhat in charge. I guess I was wrong. So who is the leader anyway?

“We didn’t give her that much, she should be waking up anytime soon. This stuff takes a whIle before it is totally out of one’s system.”

“Okay fine then. I guess we have to wait. They say patience is key.”

I heard as the person walked away, and it sounded like he sat down on a chair. The room became silent, but I could tell that they were still there. They were waiting for me to wake up. I imagined them sitting there, and it was so freaky. My body started aching, because of laying in the same position for so long. I wiggled my fingers, which seemed to get their attention.

“Look boss, she’s waking up.”

I opened my eyes, which was a struggle at first. The room that I was in was so bright, it made me close my eyes again. Finally opening my eyes for the last time, I finally adjusted to the brightness. My eyes were watery because of the cloth covering it for so long. I turned to the people in the room, they all just stood there and watched me.

The man on the chair then took the cap off his head, which turned out to be my father. I knew he was one of these people in this room, I would know his voice anywhere. I turned my head, and looked in the other direction. I hated him with all my heart, and I wanted nothing to do with him.

“Good Morning sunshine. How’d you sleep?”

I don’t respond, as I just kept looking the other way. He sighs as I heard footsteps coming towards me.

“Oh come on, don’t give your father the silent treatment. I’m only doing what’s best for you.”

I felt a hand on my chin, then he turned my head so that I could face him. My heart started beating extremely fast. I needed to escape this sick psychopaths hands, and fast.

“Take her to the next room where she will spend a day in. When the times right, I’ll come and fetch her myself.”

He plants a kiss on my forehead and leaves the room. Now I was stuck with these fools, who’s faces I cannot see. Why hide their identity if they going to kill me afterwards?

“Alright princess, let’s get you ready.”
