“Alright, look, how about I pay you?” Fezile pulled out his wallet. “How much you want?”

“Your bribes won’t work,” Lindo told him. “I’ve never liked you, Fez. I don’t think you’re the good guy for my sister, that’s it. You a serial cheater. Last night was worse. Imagine how Ona would feel if I show her the video? It would break her and I don’t want that to happen. So just do the right thing. Break up with her, tell her you’ve found a new bae or something. That heartbreak would be better than the one she’ll feel when I show her the video. So tell her you don’t like her anymore, you fell out of love. Isn’t that what you always do to these girls? You play with them and then you leave them.”

“No, no I don’t do that anymore,” Fezile said.

“Break up with Ona and then I won’t show her the video. I won’t post it, no one will know about your little secret,” said Lindokuhle.

“I’m not a player anymore, that’s the old me. I swear I’ve changed,” Fezile said.

“So last night at the party? What was that all about?”

Fezile took a deep breath. Silence. He took another deep breath and spoke, more lower and slow this time, almost like a whisper. “Yes, it’s…it’s all true. I’m…I’m bisexual. I’m attracted to men sometimes.”

“Shit.”

“But I love your sister, Lindo. I sweat to God I really do,” Fezile said.

“You literally cheated on her last night with two guys,” said Lindokuhle.

“What?” That was another voice behind them. The voice of a girl. Ona.

Lindo and Fezile froze in silence.
