CHAPTER 6
Nancy ‘s legs wobbled the whole night,she couldn’t believe she gave a stranger her phone number. He was already texting when she was few feets away. He was felling for her hard ,it excited her. Love was a beautiful even though she felt nothing for him. Maybe she would learn to love him as time went on. She only wanted to move on from Malvin’s saga.

The blood was racing with joy that she giggled on her bed while staring at the ceiling when she visualized the meeting with Richard. Her mother heard it but thought she was having fun as usual on her phone,chatting with her buddies as she called it.
The chirping of birds woke her up the next morning. She could the air smelt like like fresh roses, she missed this kind of atmosphere. She rushed to the bathroom to freshen up while smiling ,playfully posing on happy smiles on the mirror.
The ‘ Yori Yori ‘ song played on phone,she quickly rushed to it as if she was expecting it. Three calls and a message from Richard

She playfully jumped with her feet and gigged and typed on her phone. It was a beautiful thing yo be loved.

Meet me at Rost Cafe at lunch break.
Can’t wait? She hasn’t pressed the send button. She realized she was being forward. She deleted and typed Ok.

There was a blowing kiss emoji . She flattered and smiled. The alarm rang again ,it was half past six. Then she took a poet book by Ashor, she opened a page . She looked at the poet’ s heading. RENEWAL! She dug on the poem,somerhing on it made her want to know what it said. She needed renewal too.

Some pieces come back

Better friends are around!

With renewed hope and courage

” I’m very lucky I find Richard…. He is already hungry for me. This is my renewal,” she said and pause. She laugher hysterically and danced playfully with joy ,rushing to have a shower.
She kept on humming a song as she dressed up in her yellow skirt and white blouse . Her mother could feel her happy vibe from her room. She was surprised Nancybhad time to have breakfast with hertoday. They ate quietly,her mother didn’t want to spoil her happiness.
She danced playful as she headed to work. The kids sensed her joy and peace and raced around her and greeted her simultaneously. Her happiness seemed to spread like a wildfire.
” Please read us Mermaid today”
” We want the Beauty and the Beast”
” No we want the Mickey mouse and Minny …”
” I will read everything for you,” she interrupted them and headed to the class.
It wass true kids could sense one emotions .
Later that afternoon,she rushed home to prepare for her date. She couldn’t be satisfied with the make-up she applied on her face. She removed it and applied it four times. She want to look more beautiful for Richard. She was exhausted of washing the makeup all over and a again.
” If he love you,he will love you as you are,” Precious’s voice echoed in her ears.
She decided not to put makeup Thisnwas not her and she looked fake anyway in it. It was better to be herself and she found her confidence.
Richard was waiting for her and he couldn’t remove his eyes on her when he saw her enter the Rest Cafe . But a few minutes later he looked different,his eyes looked like it was not expecting .The glare frightened her.
” You look different,” he faked a smile.
He didn’t give her a chair. He wasn’t a gentleman,she stood there waiting for him to … But he gestures for her to sit.
“Thanks,” she sat down.
She looked at the windows and niticed the sky was greyish- pink in the cast.After looking at a menu, a scent flew their noses and Richard focus on where the scent came from. A beautiful lady appeared and strolled pass them. He glared at her like a appetizing burger. She wished he looked at her that way. Her feet thudded under the table,she wanted to scream or run. Her face was in scowl and she was filled in cold dread.
” Sorry,I got to go… My boss need me,” he rushed off in the direction the woman had gone. She realized he was worse than Malvin,and ,it dug another hole in her heart. She sat down with one hand covering her eyes to avoid the eyes of crowd. She sneaky left the restaurant and walked back home . She felt like she had a curse was cast on her because the repeat had happened again,her heart was crushed.
” Richard should be nosing around and find what he didn’t want,” she sighed and took two deep breaths as she strolled down the street.
” Why is this happening to me?”
” Can’t I find love?”
” Maybe love didn’t exist after all”
While kicking the dust with her legs,she was surprised to see who was standing by the gate waiting for her.
